Autosizing memo fields in lazReport
« on: January 21, 2015, 01:45:33 pm »
Hi,

In a report I have two memo fields that can contain more than one line of data, so I set autosize=true and stretched=true for both memo fields.
Unfortunately the report still shows only 1 line of text for these memos.
As suggested in an old post I resized both memo fields two a height bigger than two lines of data, but even then it doesn't work.
Does anyone has a solution for this problem or is this a bug in lazReport?
Thanks.

Hi,

Did not see a posting to help you. Try right clicking on the band and click stretched. Was looking for the answer and run numerous tests to try different options.

Note: In my program, I found that the memo line length was equal to the memo line in the first record for all subsequent records.  The next test involved putting a long line of spaces, seemed to help the line length (system removed the extra spaces tho). However, not a good solution for an end user. Still working on it.
