Monokai theme for Lazarus
« on: January 06, 2015, 12:12:49 pm »
Hello everyone, I made Monokai theme for Lazarus and just want to share, maybe someone will like it.
Used the Monokai palette and 2 colors from Sublime Text.

I could not change the color for words function, procedure, as well as the names of functions and procedures (of course apart from other keywords). Is it possible?

Installation:
  • Copy Monokai.xml to your "lazarus\userschemes" folder, e.g. "c:\documents and settings\icetear\local settings\application data\lazarus\userschemes\monokai.xml"
  • Go to "Tools - Enviromental Settings - Editor - Colors" and select new theme
  • Set the font to Consolas (size 12), and turn on antialiasing

upd: Added Monokai2.xml with only difference in coloring of special symbols, in Monokai2.xml they're the same color as keywords. I can't choose what variant better.

Looks pretty cool. I'll try it with my dark KDE theme (Wonton soup) this evening.
I spotted a minor flaw: compiler switches {$ are grayed out like comments { or //.
Thanks for sharing!

Yeah, I know about that, I did so because Sublime Text uses same colors for comments and directives. Anyway
I tried to use colors only from Sublime Text/Monokai pallete.

For all: If you know how to use colors better, let me know, because my version is not necessarily the best.

Hello. You may use a color picker to get the color you want.

Nice!

Have you seen this:

https://code.google.com/p/delphi-ide-theme-editor/
Thanks for link, no I haven't, I looked about 6-8 Monokai themes in this editor, but they're  not really good, as for me.

upd: Added new variant, reread first post.

Even when its not Friday I want to show my desktop. Wonton Soup with Monokai2, usual layout.

Edit: Wonton Soup is one of the dark themes of KDE (Linux desktop environment).

You can add it to other custom themes wiki page:
