About usage in linux
« on: November 27, 2014, 07:50:49 pm »
Hello everyone,

I am starting to using Linux Mint and i am trying to use Lazarus in this desktop.

In windows lazarus windows are collecting in a single menu item on the taskbar but in Linux Mint there are a lot of tasks on the task bar.

Is there any way to collect / shrink in a single task?

Thank you for your answers

Hello Leledumbo,

I found the option that named as "Show single button in Taskbar" but not working.

I am using lazarus 1.2.6 version.

Is there another idea?

Thank you so much

I thinnk in all Linux windows managers KDE, GNOME.. your can setup task bar widget to group application windows to one bar.
Lazarus 2.2.6 - OpenSuse Leap 15.4, Mageia 8, CentOS 7

It should, otherwise it's broken. But I can confirm it works on both 1.2.6 and trunk (I have and use both), using KDE desktop. Could be DE specific problem.

I also use Linux Mint (versions 13&17, x64), but with MATE desktop, and I don't experience this, I can easily switch between single and multiple buttons in taskbar using the previously mentioned checkbox (Laz 1.2.6). According to screenshots, it seems to be a Cinnamon desktop, and the problem might be related to it.
