Custom shortcut for IDE?
« on: November 22, 2014, 12:34:39 pm »
I want to make a custom shortcut key for auto arrangement of windows (Object Inspector, Source editor and Messages) in the IDE.
e.g to arrange Source Editor, now I go Tools > Options > Environment > Window > I select 'Source Editor' > Apply.
Can I do it with a shortcut key?

I don't think it's possible by using shortcut ATM, not even with macros (currently it's focused on editor functionality). However, you can use editortoolbar package and assign it to a toolbar button. A single mouse click is somewhat as efficient as keyboard shortcuts.

I made a shortcut to 'Options'. That's how far it can go:
IDEMainMenu > &Tools > itmOptionsDialogs > Options.
It would be good if it had and > Window > Window positions > Source editor.

Thank you, maybe not perfect but it's ok.
