  • You only live twice
(Lubuntu 14.10, Lazarus v1.2.6    FPC 2.6.4)
When I try to run an application on an other partition (ntfs partition) I get the error:
The launching application "/media/username/Files/LazProjs/Test1/Test1" does not exist or is not executable.  See Run -> Run parameters -> Local
The /media/username/Files is a ntfs partition with label 'Files'.

Is this because it's a ntfs partition?
Can I fix this?
Windows 10 64bit, Lazarus Version 2.2.0    FPC 3.2.2.

you problem is indeed the NTFS partition.
Ubuntu (LUbuntu) can read NTFS partition but can't write to them.

I have been reading and writing to NTFS disks across the network and USB attached NTFS drives for years.

I use Linux Mint Cinnamon. I have NTFS-3g loaded via the Synaptic Package Manager. Mint is a Ubuntu fork, so it should work.

I had the same problem.  I assumed it was a Linux permissions issue with executables created by FPC on NTFS disks.  If I compile a linux executable under Windows/NTFS and then copy it to a linux partition, it won't run unless I 'make it executable' under Linux.

In the end I just cloned my dev folders from the NTFS disk to the Linux one.

If there's an answer to fix the issue, I'd like to know..
