LazPaint: FAQs
« on: September 30, 2014, 09:37:19 am »
1. I cannot find out how to draw wit the pencil with hard edges.
I.e. I want to draw exactly one pixel with a single click, without having to press several times to make it non-transparent  and without it having influence on the surrounding pixels.
2. I cannot find how to have a hard edges eraser- to erase exactly one pixel, without having to press several times to make it non-transparent  and without it having influence on the surrounding pixels.
I tried to adjust pencil an eraser parameters, but I could not get the results I need.

Thanks, it works. But I have to mention, that this solution does not appeal to me. I am likely to use this mode in 90% of the cases, at least, so holding the control key is not much convenient. What about placing a checkbox somewhere? And CTRL will toggle between modes (if hard edges are enabled by the checkbox, pressing CTRL  with enable soft edges, until CTRL is released)?

Hi,
is there already a way to mark/select an area (e.g. with rectangle tool) and then by gripping the edges stretch or compress its contents (and not only the selection-box)?

Thanks

Not exactly. You can however transfer the selection to a new layer by doing CTRL-F, then adding a new layer, and then release the selection. Then you can use the deformation of layers.

Yes, Paskal, we can add, maybe a button in the toolbar to toggle that.

Thanks for this quick answer!

Do you think it is worth a feature-request-ticket on sourceforge to get the possibility to disform (stretch/compress etc...) the selection right away by e.g. holding "strg" and move the selection-edges?

I think I will remember it, but it can be useful as a reminder, a todo list.  8-)
