Nice.   You may want top open a ticket in Mantis to ensure this gets seen by the right people.

You know, that reminds me :-(  I had an issue with main page I was going to report....

Thanks, but this is still the wrong place for this information :) The team maintaining Mantis (and I'm not one of them) don't always stop by here.

Correct.  You can add a Note, and one of the maintainers will update the original ticket if required.

Well, that just creates a different problem. Currently, people who view the forum at greater than 100%  magnification do not have to suffer from a less than crisp image. If the resolution of the image is reduced, they certainly will. In my case I usually use 120% or 150% depending on machine and circumstances. Never's image at those magnifications is considerably fuzzier than the original.

It will probably look really bad on a Retina display too. Don't have one, but it seems logical.

And what kind of huge delay does it take for the browser to down size the current image?  If it is noticeable, it would seem to be more of a browser problem than anything else.

i do not share the same opinion with you !!!
but if for some reason you need to keep the dimensions you can do it and still have a smaller size (see attached image)

the page is loaded and i can see at the left up corner the image still loading that's the kind of the delay

IMHO 0,5 MB average page size is very well noted especially on slow connections
anyway no worries.......... just noticed and thought it would be nice to mention
