Expanding Leledumbo's reply.  Lazarus-CCR is one place for code contributions.  Not the only, many people manage their own open source projects.  I'm really chiming in for the documentation side of your question though.  The wiki is a community driven project, and is specifically designed to help cover lack of official documentation.  Contributing to the wiki would be a great help.  The wiki covers Lazarus, Lazarus-CCR and many independent open source projects/libraries.

I am not fuzzed.

I think it would be wise if someone made a copycat of CodeProject and focus on FPC only. In such a place I could write an article, someone else could grab my work and write a new article etc. A larger project like FCP and Lazarus need some dissiplin and control, but that should not hold back the community from exchaning ideas and work - and a forum/wiki is not sufficient for this imo.

Well, you could always start such a endeavor yourself?  Personally I'm not sure how this differs from the wiki.

I would not mind assisting with Wiki examples on things I struggle with, but I am not sure how to do it.

The "Getting involved" section on this project is hard to find!

Sorry for the delay responding - spent the weekend fighting a battle against food poisoning.

I'll dig out some links for you.  There should be somewhere in the wiki for "Getting involved".   Certainly I picked up all I know from somewhere, I assumed the wiki.  If it's not there, or not in a single coordinated place, then I'll stick something together.

Hmm, I've had a quick look with no result.  Yup, a "Getting Involved" page is a good idea, I'll bash something together tonight.
