Installing JCL errors?
« on: August 20, 2014, 08:56:58 pm »
I downloaded the latest .zip from sourceforge

I then tried to compile the JCL package in the FPC folder, but I have errors already in the first unit in tries to compile...

Does anyone have/know of a JCL that installs into Lazarus. Does not necessarily have to be new/latest

JCL relies on implementation details of Delphi (like debug format), and will never be ported in its entirety.

That being said, large parts can be made to work. I'm not aware of sb currently maintaining an archive for this.

Thanks for the info!

I figured JVCL would be hard, but I had hoped that JCl would have large chunks working. (And the rest deffed out)

I will wait a little to see if some have a Lazarus/JCL port/package somewhere. From searching Google I am far from the only one who tried to use JCL and the fpc/lazarus package hints someone tried in the past :)
