what about the lazarus black window in Win32?
« on: April 28, 2004, 09:09:51 am »
I'm new for lazarus.
Can anybody tell me what is the black (Win32 console app?) window ?
Is it only for debugging lazarus?
How can be hidden?

And more important: I can't think to deliver an application written and compiled in lazarus with this black window always in the background.

Can anybody help me?
Thanks in advance.

For your projects, go to project -> compiler options -> linking -> Win32 gui application. For lazarus itself, the console window can not be disabled currently, because debug messages are written there.

In such situation Lasarus is a perfect way to solve your problem. You use nearly identical language as in Delphi, you can use nearly identical features and you can compile your programs under both Win 32 and Linux platforms.
P.S. If I have written anything bad, please correct me, as I'm not such good in english.
