detect error using gsm module

hello everyone, I'm using a gsm module to send sms by means of AT commands, I'm using the lazserial component, the issue is that I can not detect when the module gives me an error, when giving an error it responds with the string "ERROR", event I have to use or how do I detect the module's response? I appreciate the help
