Lazarus 1.0.2 release available for download
« on: October 10, 2012, 09:53:08 pm »
The Lazarus team is glad to announce the release of Lazarus 1.0.2.

This is a bug fix release. Here is the list of changes:
http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/Lazarus_1.0_fixes_branch#Fixes_for_1.0.2_.28Merged.29

The release is available for download at the SourceForge download page:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/lazarus/files/

Choose your CPU, OS, distro and then the "Lazarus 1.0.2" directory.

Minimum requirements:
Windows:       98, 2k, XP, Vista, 7, 32 or 64bit
FreeBSD/Linux: gtk 2.8 or qt4.5, 32 or 64bit
Mac OS X:      10.5, LCL only 32bit, non LCL apps can be 64bit

This release has been built with fpc 2.6.0 (the former release 1.0 was built with that too).

The svn tag is
http://svn.freepascal.org/svn/lazarus/tags/lazarus_1_0_2

For people who are blocked by SF, the Lazarus releases from sourceforge are mirrored at:
ftp://freepascal.dfmk.hu/pub/lazarus/releases/
and later at (after some time for synchronization)
http://michael-ep3.physik.uni-halle.de/Lazarus/releases/
and
http://mirrors.iwi.me/lazarus/

Well done!
I wonder if rev 38467 is included, can't find it in the fixes list.

38467 is a revision from the fixes branch so yes it is.

The actual revision under which it is listed is [EDIT: Seems it wasnt added to the wiki, but it is in SVN]
Quote
r38449: Fixes bug 22718. Fixes ShowModal for WinCE

38467  is only the merge of that fix from trunk to fixes

In addition to the disk images for Mac OS X, the package descriptions for fink are also updated to version 1.0.2 for 10.5/10.6. As before, the choice is between lazarus-aqua with native and lazarus-gtk2 with gtk2 look. In addition, crosscompiling packages of the lcl are availabe for the "easy" targets, i.e. powerpc-carbon, win32, wince-arm, wince-i386 and nogui-x86_64.

Works fine for me.
What OS? Which WidgetSet?

Also "some colums to the left": Do you mean scrolled? So you can scroll it back to normal and work? Or do you mean something else?

I have made an unofficial build of Lazarus-1.0.2 on Launchpad
for Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin):
https://launchpad.net/~prof7bit/+archive/lazarus-1.0.0

despite its url (1.0.0) it actually contains the latest 1.0.x release which currently is 1.0.2. It also contains packages for fpc-2.6.0.

This is an unofficial build, packaging is similar to the official .deb packages on sourceforge (only one deb for Lazarus and two debs for fpc) but its not 100% identical because I wrote my own build scripts for Launchpad from scratch.

Code: [Select]
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:prof7bit/lazarus-1.0.0
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install lazarus

You may add a note that windows is affected too. http://bugs.freepascal.org/view.php?id=21302

It seems the issue exist in previous versions too, and is not new in 1.0.2

Lazarus releases will always use *released* fpc versions (ending with an even digit)
2.6.1 is not a released version (it is not even a version, since it is a different product every day).

So there will be no release with 2.6.1.
Once fpc releases 2.6.2, lazarus will use it.
