recommended early PowerPC version
« on: July 17, 2012, 09:44:17 am »
I want to Install Lazarus, compile and test my program on PowerPC and I plan to buy an old Powerbook via ebay for this purpose. I would prefer to use MacOSX 10.3, so (nearly) all PowerPC users can use my program. Is 10.3 OK for my purpose or should I use 10.4 or 10.5 ?

No, you need at least Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger, both for Lazarus itself and the applications you generate with it.
function GetRandomNumber: integer; // xkcd.com
begin
  GetRandomNumber := 4; // chosen by fair dice roll. Guaranteed to be random.
end;
