Newbie: resizing labels

Hello,

I'm trying to create a form on which I place several TLabels. I would like to dynamically adjust the size of the labels (i.e. the font size) when the surrounding form is resized.

As I'm new to Lazarus I have no clue where to start, and the brief tutorial in Wiki doesn't really help here.

Where can I find information on what all the properties mean (alignment, etc) how they work together and how GUI forms can be created that go beyond a single button and an input field?
