Lazarus book in English released

Hello All,

It's very unfortunate that there isn't an electronic edition of the book. Personally i can not use actual books because of an physical disability. And for others it improves ease of use. I could buy the book and scan the whole thing but that , i suspect, would be against the copyright license.

So, is there a safe way for a publisher to make an electronic version for use on a computer ? Maybe we can persuade the publishers to use such a safe (not copyable) method.

If it will be only for your own purposes and you will not distribute or share it then it is OK (at least in my country).

I know i can make a copy (scan) for a private copy in the Netherlands.

But scanning the book is a lot of work and an official electronic edition could make use easier for me and a lot of others.

"Publishing it as a ebook, is a waste of money and time, because a ebook is spread as a llilegal copy over the internet within one day. After two days you can't sell printed books or ebooks any more, because everybody downloads the "free" version."

I have got it friday. Yesterday we scanned the first pages. It's a lot of work. The open book is just a little bit bigger than the scanner plate so i have to scan page by page.

By the way, I am effectively bilingual in English and Chinese, therefore I can help to translate it to Chinese if you needs it, China market is a big market .

This is a wonderful news, I also must get this book as soon as possible. It's not the best time for me financially I must admit

However, this book is a must-have, and to get it now and have a USB flashdrive with Lazarus logo is priceless

EDIT: and I've ordered it! 
This is the first CS (and expensive) book I've personally bought since 1997. I believe the authors deserve to be rewarded as much as possible... So, people, go buy, buy BUY this book

The book seems great, I started reading it immediately... So great to have all that Lazarus knowledge at hand and in hardcopy too...
