gocolspanning property on TStringGrid
« on: November 08, 2010, 02:34:37 pm »
Can anyone tell me if this property allows joining of cells? and if so how is it used? I can find nothing in the documentation apart from the fact that it is listed as a property.

Best regards

Albert

That was the intention: to join several cell in one, however this feature was being implemented early in the development of the grid, but then a Delphi compatible grid was more desirable and this feature stopped. In future (I don't know if before Lazarus 1.0) a new feature called "merge cells" is planned for this purpose.

You can use Kgrid. It supports cell merging fully via the CellSpan property.
