Form OnCreate does not work properly under Win32

Hello,

In Windows, I am having trouble with filling a TListView component during a Form OnCreate event.  Basicaly I have a For.. To loop filling a TListView. I know the loop gets executed, and yet the TListView is empty. Filling it afterwards also works OK.  The same code under Linux/Lazarus and for that matter Delphi, has no problem.  Does anybody have any ideas on how to get around this (running set-up code at the beginning of a Program).  It looks like  some kind of a timing bug to me at this point.
