FPSpreadsheet - licensing
« on: September 11, 2010, 11:55:06 am »
on lazarus wiki i found FPSpreadsheet. (http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/FPSpreadsheet)
in "license" chapter, there is a text: "LGPL with static linking exception. This is the same license as is used in the Lazarus Component Library.". should i acknowledge that as allowing anyone to use this source code in commercial, closed source applications?

Yes. Basically it means that you can use it in commercial and in closed source applications, but if you make any improvements to the fpspreadsheet code you should make those changes to fpspreadsheet publicly available.
