Duplicate controls

Hi, I'm having trouble trying to work out how to make a duplicate of a set of controls on a form.
I would like to design a panel with child controls in design time on a form, then during runtime create a copy of that panel and children into another form. I had managed this in delphi in the past but just can't find a hook into performing this in lazarus (linux version). Anyone got any pointers on how or where I should look?
